Who we are
Dentilane ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for the personal data described below. If you have any questions about this policy or want to exercise your rights, reach us at privacy@dentilane.com.
What we collect
When you submit the waitlist form, we collect:
- Email address — required to reach out when we launch.
- Role — whether you identified as a clinic or a designer, so we can tailor the communications you receive.
- Server metadata — your IP address and browser user agent are recorded in short-lived server logs to prevent abuse and diagnose errors.
We do not collect names, phone numbers, clinical data, patient information, or payment details on this site.
Why we collect it
We process your data for three narrow purposes, each with a legal basis:
- Waitlist communication. To let you know when Dentilane is ready and share updates directly related to the waitlist. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given by submitting the form and withdrawable at any time (see §7).
- Security & abuse prevention. Rate-limiting and blocking spam using IP and request metadata. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in keeping the service available and trustworthy.
- Aggregate analytics. If enabled, anonymous usage events held in memory for the current browser session only. No advertising, tracking, or profiling cookies. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding aggregate demand.
International transfers
Our primary processor for email storage (Mailjet) is based in the European Union, so your email stays within the EU/EEA. If any processor transfers data outside the EU/EEA, the transfer is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses or another valid safeguard under Chapter V of the GDPR.
How long we keep it
We keep your email and role until the waitlist is closed — meaning Dentilane has launched and you have been onboarded or explicitly decided not to — plus a short transition period after. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time. Server logs containing IP addresses are retained for up to 30 days, then purged.
Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15).
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16).
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten", Art. 17).
- Restrict or object to certain processing (Arts. 18 and 21).
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (Art. 20).
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal (Art. 7).
- Lodge a complaint with your national Data Protection Authority if you believe we've mishandled your data.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@dentilane.com. We'll respond within 30 days. Every marketing email we send also contains a one-click unsubscribe link.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Only the small number of people and services that need access to your email to run the waitlist have it, and access is logged.
Children
Dentilane is a professional service for dental clinics and CAD designers and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, if appropriate, notify you by email before the change takes effect. The current version always lives at this URL.
